Buying a Home on Vancouver Island

There are 6 Steps to owning a home on Vancouver Island:

  1. Select a Sales Professional that meets your needs.
  2. Make an appointment with a lender for pre-approval and rate guarantee.
  3. Look for a home with your REALTOR
  4. Prepare and negotiate an acceptable offer.
  5. Fulfill all conditions.
  6. Perpare for closing.

The central Island is made up of several different communities each with its own unique characteristics. I am based in Nanaimo and specialize in Nanaimo homes but have a great knowledge of all of central Vancouver Island housing markets. Having lived on the island for all of my 30 years I have a great amount of knowledge of the island and what life is like here.

The buying process can be scary and exciting. It is my job as your REALTOR® to assist you through the entire process. From our first meeting until long after you have moved into your home I am a resource for you to lean on. I will walk you through each step of the process explaining it as we go and making it as stress free as possible. The Stats are out and the opinions are in on what the Nanaimo Housing market is doing. What I have seen first hand is that sales of homes priced 275k to 350k are still moving like crazy. Condo sales are slower, and high end property sales have slowed.
